Sales Representative


Are you an outgoing professional with a passion for gardening? If your answer is yes then Gemmell’s Garden Centre wants to meet you! We are a locally owned garden centre based out of Smiths Falls, ON with another retail location in Brockville, ON. We provide a positive work environment that fosters creativity, development, and growth. As a team of garden enthusiasts we are always looking for top talent to help us provide our customers with the best products and service! As a Sales Representative you would help us manage the visual representation of our store and present a friendly and helpful sales and work environment. We are currently looking for Sales Associates to join both the Smiths Falls and Brockville teams. We provide full-time, part-time, and seasonal opportunities. Tasks Involved

  • Greet and assist customers throughout their visit
  • Maintain in-depth product knowledge
  • Answer phone calls and respond to voicemails
  • Merchandise products
  • Support team members as required
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace
  • Unload incoming deliveries
  • Ensure sales area is organized, clean, and unobstructed
  • Any other related tasks as determined by the Retail Manager

What You Offer

  • Adequate knowledge of various plants and their characteristics OR an ability and willingness to learn quickly
  • Comfortable working in a team setting and independently
  • Experience working in customer service
  • Capable of prioritizing and taking initiative
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to follow directions

  • Previous Sales experience is considered an asset

Production Grower


Are you an energetic professional with a passion for gardening? If your answer is yes then Gemmell’s Garden Centre wants to meet you! We are a locally owned garden centre based out of Smiths Falls, ON with another retail location in Brockville, ON. We provide a positive work environment that fosters creativity, development, and growth. As a team of garden enthusiasts we are always looking for top talent to help us provide our customers with the best products and service! As a Production Grower you would help us manage the behind-the-scenes action of our garden centre and grow the quality plants we present to our customers. We are currently looking for Production Growers to join our Smiths Falls team. We provide full-time, part-time, and seasonal opportunities. Tasks Involved

  • Assist in the coordination of production schedules
  • Work with the Lead Grower on the performance of production employees while maintaining a safe and clean workplace
  • Diligent observations of plants, temperatures, and other conditions
  • Maintain production quality
  • Ensure compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, and safety
  • Any other tasks assigned by the lead grower

Assistant to the Retail Manager

We provide a positive work environment that fosters creativity, development, and growth. As a team of garden enthusiasts we are always looking for top talent to help us provide our customers with the best products and service! As an Assistant Manager you would help us uphold the positive work and sales environment we strive for by supervising and educating staff, presenting a visually-perfect retail environment, and maintaining a healthy and safe work environment. We are currently looking for an Assistant to the Retail Manager to join the Brockville team. This is a full time, seasonal opportunity.   • Supervise staff and customer interactions to foster positive sales experiences
